I got a little tired of my old blog design, so I thought I'd change it up. I noticed my old blog seemed really narrow, so I widened it so the content would seem a bit less cramped. Also changed the background and overall color scheme to seem more Alice-y (I always associate blue and yellow with Alice, for some reason). Just wanted to freshen it up a bit :)
I know it's been ages since I've posted again. Been crazy busy, and still need to get around to trying out Madness Returns, ugh! Just not enough hours in the day for everything!
It's amazing to me how fast time really goes. I can't believe this December will mark 3 years since Alice premiered on SyFy. I look back fondly on that time and how obsessed I became with it and all the fanvids I made. I still enjoy the movie and am still holding out hope for a sequel (or prequel), but there's nothing quite like that initial obsession when you discover something new that you really, really love! Sometimes something just sparks something within you, and it's very difficult to recreate. Sorry, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic at the moment! I'm basically just leading up to saying that I feel like my Alice fanvidding might be behind me. I consider myself retired from it. I made soooo many videos (30 or so), and I sort of just feel like making more will start to be too repetitive (if it wasn't already). My Youtube channel will remain up, of course, and you can still visit it here: Would You Like a Cup of Tea?
That being said, this blog isn't going anywhere, as I still love Alice In Wonderland as a whole. There are still lots of Alice movies I've yet to talk about (some I still need to watch!), and other stuff I want to talk about, so I'm hoping against hope I can carve out some time for that. Also, I would like to invite anyone who has an Alice blog or fanpage or any website related to Alice to submit your link, and I'll post it on my sidebar under Down The Rabbit Hole. We Alice fans need to stick together ;D
One of the things I've been busy with (probably the most busy with) is my writing. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I'm an aspiring novelist, and have been writing since the age of 13. I recently published my first book on Kindle called Dog Days of Summer, a contemporary-women's fiction book. Link is in the sidebar if you're curious :) And sorry for the shameless plug ;)
